The game also features increased enemy types and more mini-bosses to give the game more variety. In this new game, you battle Norse mythological creatures such as the God of war, Kratos, and his son, Atreus, trying to avoid the end of the world known as Ragnarök. God of War: Ragnarök is a single-player, third-person action-adventure video game, following the same features of the previous entry, with an over-the-shoulder free/continuous camera and RPG elements. The sequel is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 9th, 2022, for the PS 4 and PS 5 consoles. The game was scheduled to be released in 2021, but the studio behind the game, Santa Monica Studios, delayed it to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Christopher Judge's (Kratos's voice actor) health problems. Uploaded by IGN's YouTube channel, the teaser(see below) has garnered 6.6 million views and 226,000 likes in two years. God of War: Ragnarök was first announced at the PlayStation 5 Showcase event on September 16th, 2020, with a teaser stating that "Ragnarök is coming," in reference to the events at the end of the previous game. ![]()
